In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring compliance with financial regulations specific to the healthcare and nonprofit industry, helping us move forward with purpose and precision. Essential Job Duties:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Develop and maintain financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) .
  • Track, analyze, and report grant funding and income streams to ensure compliance with funder requirements.
  • Manage income and expenditure accounts, ensuring accurate tracking of grant-related activity.
  • Review and approve bank deposits, assist with payroll approvals, and support bonus/allowance calculations.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and trend analyses for leadership.
  • Provide audit support, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to support financial planning, budget development, and reporting needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience preparing financial statements.
  • Demonstrated expertise with grant tracking and reporting .
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial/accounting software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
