TITLE: Behavioral Intervention Specialist LOCATION: Various locations (Warren, Washington, and Northern Saratoga Counties) TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Benefited, 40 hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Flexibility required based on programmatic need.

POSITION CONCEPT:

The Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) is responsible for meeting the psycho-social needs of all individuals within his/her caseload through assessment, development, and implementation of behavioral intervention plans, individual counseling, group counseling, and crisis intervention services. The BIS is also responsible for providing training and guidance to staff working with these individuals in these areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree from a program in clinical or treatment field of psychology or social work. Or a national board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA). Or NYS license in Mental Health Counseling with experience working directly with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Or is actively working towards a master’s degree as noted above with an anticipated graduation date.
