Your Challenge

  • Maintain the Test Department Calibration and Gauge Control Program.
    \n
  • \n
  • Calibrate instrumentation in house when applicable.
    \n
  • \n
  • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to calibrate all off-site calibrations.
    \n
  • \n
  • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to calibrate a batch of instruments on-site - support vendor while on-site.
    \n
  • \n
  • Suggest/Implement upgrades to the Test Department Calibration and Gauge Control Program.
    \n
  • \n
  • Maintain/create blanket POs yearly for calibrations.
    \n
  • \n
  • Purchase materials required for the department to continue operating properly.
    \n
  • \n
  • Support Test Department during endurance/extended tests.
    \n
  • \n
  • Support/write updates to the Test Department Calibration and Gauge Control Program documentation and procedures.
    \n
  • \n
  • Implement safety based upgrades.
    \n
  • \n
  • Follow processes and procedures.
    \n
  • \n
  • Follow scheduled workloads as needed within the test department based on upcoming test.
    \n
  • \n
  • Participate in department improvement projects/ideas.
    \n
  • \n
  • Handle department materials (piping, auxiliaries, non-production parts) using forklifts, cranes, etc.
    \n
  • \n
  • Attend meetings (Safety, Training, All-hands).
    \n
  • \n

What You Bring
    \n
  • Knowledge of NIST calibration and other calibration standards.
    \n
  • \n
  • Experience with GagePack or other gauge maintenance/calibration program a plus.
    \n
  • \n
  • Knowledge of instrumentation calibration.
    \n
  • \n
  • Time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
    \n
  • \n
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
    \n
  • \n
  • Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
    \n
  • \n
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment; familiarity with pressure, temperature, power, and vibration measuring instruments, understanding of pump hydraulic and mechanical principles.
    \n
  • \n
  • Experience working with defense department quality control systems is desired.
    \n
  • \n
  • General computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
    \n
  • \n
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain security clearances.
    \n
