Salary: $38,000.00 - $43,000.00 AnnuallyLocation : NormalJob Type: Full-TimeJob Number: 202300652Department: NACEEOpening Date: 08/20/2025 Description Summary:This position exists to coordinate, advise, and support the administration of the Educational Talent Search (ETS) grant-funded TRiO program by providing holistic student-focused advising, academic support, career exploration assistance, and college readiness experiences and skills for students in grades 6th-12th at partner schools within the Huntsville City Schools District. The Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of services and activities that are essential to achieving the stipulated objectives of the Talent Search grant as approved by the U.S. Department of Education.This position is grant funded and contingent upon the funding associated with the respective grant. Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide advising to students for decision making regarding academic curriculum, educational pathways, career development, and personal goalsDevelop college and career readiness programming, resources, and tools for studentsDeliver presentations, facilitate workshops, facilitate testing, review academic records, and implement early alert reportsPlan and chaperone cultural activities/field trips and college visitsCoordinate tutoring and supplemental instructional servicesGuide students through all phases of the comprehensive college enrollment processAid students in increasing financial literacy and developing a financial plan for postsecondaryAdvertise ETS program and services within target schools and communities Assist with the completion of the participant application, selection, and program enrollment processConduct ETS information sessions and program orientations to students, parents, staff, and other key stakeholdersAssist in the day-to-day Talent Search program operations and deliver student servicesMonitor and report participant academic performance, retention, persistence, areas for improvement, and successes; devise interventions as neededCollect, maintain, and submit records, data, and reports that track program activities and document services provided to participantsAssist with the completion of the Annual Performance ReportSupport programs and strategic initiatives within NACEE Enrichment Programs and Student Development divisionAssist Project Director with grant writing specifications and help maintain compliance with U.S. Department of Education regulations and grant objectives Typical Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.): Minimum of Bachelor's degree in education, management, counseling, social work, or related field is required; Master's degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of professional experience working with pre-college populations is required Supplemental Information Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Demonstrated understanding of the needs of income-eligible prospective first-generation college students and experience working with diverse populations is requiredDemonstrated knowledge of program development and project management is preferred Experience writing and implementing grants is preferredAbility to organize, prioritize, manage time effectively, adhere to deadlines, accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously, work autonomously and collaboratively is essentialDetailed oriented, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are criticalMust be able to identify needs, analyze problems, think critically, and troubleshootMust possess a desire to foster the Educational Talent Search program mission and achieve target outcomesWe offer a complete benefits package to full-time employees including health care, dental, vision, retirement, deferred compensation plans, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, short and long-term disability, holidays, vacation, and sick leave.To learn more details, visit our benefits page at 01 Do you have a bachelor's degree in education, management, counseling, social work, or related field?
