As a Security Guard - Unarmed Retail Site in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a bustling retail location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help create a welcoming environment, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is a driving post, so you will have the opportunity to navigate the site and interact with both staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when necessary, and maintaining awareness of the flow of people within the location.
• Support loss prevention efforts by being visible throughout the location and reporting any suspicious behavior or activities.
• Work collaboratively with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and/or concerns as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred and may be required based on state and/or local regulations.
• Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet; this is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements is preferred for driving posts.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
