Job Responsibilities - Conduct thorough patient evaluations, which encompass physical examinations and detailed assessments of medical histories
- Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results
- Work closely with surgeons to devise and implement patient-specific surgical treatment plans
- Provide essential intraoperative support, including room setup, patient positioning, and instrument handling during surgical procedures
- Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education
Education - Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis in surgery is highly preferred
Certifications - Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are essential
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Skills - In-depth knowledge of surgical practices and sterile techniques
- Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic tests and aid in complex clinical decisions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments, especially during surgical procedures
