SUNY Upstate Medical University Vascular Surgeon
The Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Services at Upstate Medical University is seeking a vascular surgeon to join the full-time faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor of Surgery level. The Division of Vascular Surgery currently has 4 full time faculty members who are all clinically active and committed to graduate medical education. Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Vascular Surgery and possess broad clinical skills in the treatment of arterial and venous disease.

The Division has a busy clinical practice with a wide variety of cases ranging from straightforward to complex with a good mix of endovascular and open interventions. Vascular surgery supports a high volume, Level 1 trauma center and works closely with cardiology and cardiac surgery in the Upstate Heart and Vascular Center. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator who is able to work in a fast paced, collaborative team environment. Opportunities in clinical and outcomes related research exist and will be supported by the current faculty. The candidate will be expected to participate in teaching and training vascular fellows, general surgery residents, and medical students. They will be employed by the University Surgical Associates (Department of Surgery) and will be eligible for a faculty appointment at SUNY Upstate Medical University and Upstate University Hospital.
Upstate Medical University is a two-campus 715 bed multidisciplinary, academic medical center which serves as the tertiary care referral center for Syracuse and the Central New York region. Upstate Medical University is located in Syracuse, NY adjacent to Syracuse University and surrounded by numerous outdoor recreational opportunities, cultural events, and has nationally recognized public and private schools.
